2023 Ford F-150 Tremor · 5.0L V8

This decision is still open. 3 options are being compared, nothing has been ordered, and no manufacturer has been committed to. Where one option is marked as currently leaning, that's a preference at this stage — not a decision.

Current preference — no decision made

Why this option

ADD is the preferred manufacturer for this build — designed, built and tested in Chandler, Arizona, with a consistent .120-inch wall steel construction across the Gen 3 Raptor range. The specific model is still open. The Pro Bolt-On (F218102070103, $2,998.98) is the reference point: slimmest in the range, prerunner profile flush with the grille and valance, vented 1/8-inch CNC aluminum skid plate, centre mount for six cube lights or a 20-inch bar.

Trade-offs

Whichever ADD model is chosen, adaptive cruise was a hard requirement on this truck and ADD's Pro Bolt-On needs their adaptive cruise relocation bracket — roughly $298.98 on top. The optional light hoop is being skipped on purpose: ADD states that with it fitted, reverse braking assist switches off with a dash warning, front parking sensors may go inactive, and front camera visibility is reduced. Preserving factory functionality outranks four extra lights. Note the 'retains OEM intercooler location' feature is moot here — the 5.0L V8 is naturally aspirated. Fitment across the Raptor conversion is an open verification item until test-fit.

Gen 3 Mojave Bolt-On Front Bumper

SVC Offroad

Researching

Why this option

A genuinely strong independent alternative — USA-built, a cleaner and less busy design than most of the Raptor bumper market, bolt-on without cutting the frame, and about $300 cheaper at roughly $2,699.

Where it currently stands

Currently the runner-up rather than a rejection. SVC's frame-cut Mojave variants require running their own intercooler or a COBB unit, which is irrelevant on a naturally aspirated 5.0L but signals the line is engineered around the EcoBoost Raptor. The ADD Pro Bolt-On also has a matching rear, which keeps the truck visually consistent front to rear. If ADD's lead time slips or fitment doesn't verify after the conversion, this is the fallback.

Factory Gen 3 Raptor front bumper

Ford (OEM / take-off)

Researching

Why this option

Guaranteed fitment with every factory sensor, camera, and adaptive cruise function intact, and no relocation bracket needed. The cheapest path if a clean take-off turns up.

Where it currently stands

No meaningful approach-angle gain, no integrated light mounting, and none of the protection a steel prerunner bumper is there to provide.
